Novant Health Arms Coalition, Partners in Healing

The Novant Health Arms Coalition helps our communities, including those who are most vulnerable in three important ways. For everyone, we educate. For those eligible, we vaccinate. And for those wishing to volunteer, we facilitate.

Bubba Wallace: Why I got my shot

Rising NASCAR star Darrell “Bubba” Wallace knows the thrill of powering his No. 23 car across a finish line – and now you can join us in our race to the finish line against COVID.

Bubba Wallace received his COVID vaccine and is urging others to do the same. “For me, it’s important to learn about the vaccine and do my part to help us get back to normal,” said Wallace, who drives for racing team 23XI Racing, co-owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin. “I want to see fans safely back at the race track and filling the grandstands. I want to safely attend concerts and sporting events – all the things we did before COVID.”

Novant Health has teamed up with Wallace and 23XI Racing to promote vaccination in communities of color. It’s about addressing vaccine hesitancy – and promoting healthcare equity, so that no one is left behind in the race against the virus. Wallace is ready to get back to activities and routine he enjoys – and he knows others, NASCAR fans included – are, too. “It starts with getting vaccinated,” he said. “I encourage others to get their shot and help get us all safely back to normal.”
